From Jinguo Trading to Frutacloud
In 1986, Thomas Liu Jin-chuan founded Jinguo Trading Co. in the heart of Taipei. Over three decades the company grew into a fruit import house covering more than 45 categories — cherries, berries, grapes, durian, apples, citrus, coconuts and beyond.
In 2016, George Liu Zi-rui founded Frutacloud Supply Chain in Shanghai as Jinguo's horizontal extension: an integrated fruit supply chain built for China's new retail and emerging channels, with the goal of bringing more and better fresh products to Chinese consumers.
Frutacloud combines Jinguo's 30+ years of import expertise and supplier relationships — sourcing directly from more than 20 countries and regions including Chile, Peru, the USA, South Africa and Thailand — with modern processing, cold-chain logistics and marketing services for retail partners, alongside a dedicated program for premium domestic fruit.
