What does Frutacloud (好果云) do?
Frutacloud is an integrated fruit supply chain company founded in 2016 and headquartered in Shanghai. We source fruit directly from more than 20 countries and regions and serve China’s leading retail channels through 17 logistics and processing centers across mainland China, Hong Kong and Taipei, providing sourcing, processing, cold-chain logistics and brand marketing as one service.
What services does Frutacloud provide?
Five core services: global direct import trade, premium domestic fruit sourcing, standardized processing and packing, end-to-end cold-chain logistics, and brand services & marketing (season launches, roadshows and in-store campaigns) for retail partners.
Which retail channels does Frutacloud work with?
Our partners span membership clubs (Costco, Sam’s Club), hypermarkets (Walmart, RT-Mart, Yonghui, ALDI, METRO), new retail and fresh e-commerce (Freshippo, 7FRESH, JD.com, Tmall, Meituan, Dingdong Maicai, Pupu), convenience stores (7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart) and more — 26+ channel partners in total.
What are Frutacloud’s core fruit categories?
Four core categories: cherries (Chilean charter flights at peak season), durian (sourced directly in Thai and Vietnamese growing regions), berries and grapes. In total we operate 45+ categories and 100+ varieties, supplied 365 days a year.
Where are Frutacloud’s processing centers located?
Seventeen centers across Greater China: Beijing, Shanghai, Dongguan, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xi’an, Kunming, Chongqing, Zhengzhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Shenyang, Hefei, Changsha, Nanning, Hong Kong and Taipei. The facilities are certified under COSTCO’s QMS GMP assessment.
Where does Frutacloud source fruit from?
From 200+ suppliers in over 20 countries and regions: South America (34% — Chile, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador), Asia (28% — Thailand, Vietnam, India, Japan, Korea), Africa (12%), Oceania (11%), North America (9%) and Europe (6%). Our longest supplier partnership exceeds 40 years.
What is the relationship between Frutacloud and Kingo?
Kingo was founded in Taipei in 1986 by Thomas Liu and built four decades of fruit-import expertise. In 2016 George Liu founded Frutacloud in Shanghai as Kingo’s horizontal extension, focused on serving China’s new retail with integrated supply chain services.
Does Frutacloud hold quality certifications?
Yes. Our processing network passed COSTCO’s Comprehensive QMS GMP facility assessment and human-rights audit, and operates standardized processing lines with unbroken cold chain from origin to shelf.
